Certifications updates

While this blog was stacking up dust, I’ve been stacking up knowledge. The big GIS one I got is becoming an Esri Enterprise Administration Certified Professional. It’s a big step and a great recognition of my learning process of the last few years. My work has become more and more focused on backend processes, getting ArcGIS Enterprise to operate properly in a 24/7 mission critical environment.
Besides the GIS side, I’ve also been diving into Cloud computing, especially focussed on Azure, as it’s the big player here.
While I did have a bit of problems getting the AZ-900 The knowledge required is really spread out thin. You need to be familiar with a lot, without actually knowing how to control it.
After that struggle, I went all in and got AZ-204 and AZ-400 in the meatime as well.

With these certifications in place, I’m trying to get my geospatial friends and co-workers to get a better DevOps mindset. Reducing waste, reducing rework reducing mean time to market and increasing quality. A great addition to my, also improved, Professional Scrum Master Level II certification by the way. 🙂

Next up? I’m not sure yet. But I am looking into Kubernetes a lot these days. Maybe it will be worth my while to get some official backing to that as well!
